Condensed Landscape Experience
This paper addresses the question of whether the sensation of landscape can be condensed in function or to the size of an urban building. It also discusses the benefits and potentials of the amalgamate, by underlining the unique qualities of such a hybrid. In an attempt to define the experience of landscape, eight attributes are introduced: discover, diversity, cyclic, equality, scale, transformation, topography and wilderness. The essay analyzes the attendance of these attributes in two existing fascinating hybrid structures. The first example is The High-Line, a public space in New York, and the second example is Dubiner Apartment House in Israel.
