Those Wicked Dead White Men: Using “Countertexts” in Architectural History Courses to Help Students Meet the Goals of General Education

Devised to bolster cultural and educational breadth, reconceived history courses would challenge the canon through the employment of ‘countertexts’ that can cultivate a more comprehensive appreciation of alternative worldviews while sharpening students’ critical thinking skills.
