Biophilic Architecture: Sustainable Materialization of Microalgae Facades

This report sets out a microalgae design imperative, describes the BIQ building located in Hamburg, Germany and known as the first microalgae powered building in the world, and outlines five typologies of microalgae facades: divided, inflated, stranded, suspended, and woven.
